Love Those Haters!<3

Standard

God showed me a quick thing today:

Okay, so imagine you were meeting someone amazingly famous, like umm Obama or George Bush? Or just anyone that you’d give high repect for. How would you treat anything they own? Meaning, they’re clothing, house, wife, etc. You’d treat them with great care and caution, right?

Well, in the same way, God is the highly repected king. God owns every single person on this earth. Therefore, we should love them and care for every single person in this world as we’d treat ourself. The greatest command after loving the lord with all our heart, mind, and soul, is loving our neighbor. (Matthew 37-38)

There are always going to be the people who talk nonsense about you, they’re just nonstop sinners in our eyes. But then again, who are we to judge? Christ doesn’t want to judge, he wants us to LOVE. Because…

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:8

That is one of my favorite verses. JESUS died for OUR sins, while WE were SINNERS! And you know what? If Christ can DIE for us sinners, why can’t we just show love to the haters out there? Even though there are always going to be people who will be against you, the only answer is to love them.

“We love because he first loved us.” -1 John 4:19

I love this one SO MUCH TOO. It’s because of GOD’S LOVE that we even have the chance to experience love to share. When we experience God’s love, we’ll have to urge to share it with others, even others who look down upon us.

And what is love? 1 Corinthians 13. Written beautifully.

So now, basically what God showed me today: Love your haters, don’t let them put you down. Just show them love, and don’t give them another reason to hate you, show them Jesus.

And in the end, once again – Everything will happen according to God’s plan.

(((: oh my, I love God.

Flaws?

Standard

So lately, God has really shown me who I am. We need to have a relationship with God. And with our relationship with God, by getting to know God, his light will help you get to know yourself better as well. He has helped me understand who I am as a person, what I do that I don’t really realize, and what I enjoy/suck and good at.

As a person, he’s showed me a deeper understanding of my personality and my character. One thing he showed me is how awkward I can be. I actually found it quite funny at first.

However, within days I had others bring it to my attention. At first, it bothered me that people were talking about me in that way. I didn’t like how people used it against me. But, that’s when I realized it was a flaw in my personality that God was showing me. Nobody is perfect, everyone has those flaws. But, if you ask God to show you your flaws and help you fix them, he will.

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.” -Psalm 55: 22

You might wonder how this verse is even relevant to what I’m saying right now, but I guess that basically if you truly care about who you are, then God give you what you need to become a better person. NOT perfect, because no one is perfect, but BETTER.

In the big picture, even is someone is hurting you, God has a reason he’s doing it. He might be trying to show you something you’re doing wrong! Or testing you. But either way, once again, he knows what exactly he’s doing.

Now I’m working on fixing those flaws God has shown me. That’s only possible with the power of God. I’m excited for change, because it’s God’s change!

Consequences

Standard

So guess what I learned? Everything always catches back up to you, the past, your mistakes. No matter how hard or fast you run away from things, it’ll catch up eventually. Or, you’ll stop running, and then it’ll just be sitting next to you.

Sometimes sorry isn’t enough. Sometimes, even after you tell the truth, secrets can’t stay secrets. Sometimes, there are consequences after you’ve been forgiven.

Truth is, we’ll all have to suffer the consequences of our actions. Those consequences aren’t always going to be pretty, but what I see is this: Even though the consequences are tough, God puts you through these consequences to teach you your lesson.

A lot of the time, we are forgiven, just to be found making the same error over and over. That’s when we haven’t learned our lesson. That’s the purpose of a consequence. However, what I believe is that God won’t ever put you through a consequence you can’t handle. Yes, it may be a rough patch at the time, but in the end what’s the outcome? You become a better person and learn from your mistakes because of it.

Something such as trust, which is something that is easily broken, harder to gain, is an example. It’s hard stuff to learn, go through, and understand. Trust, I still don’t completely understand it.

“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” -1 Corinthians 10:13

Although this verse is specifically talking about temptation, temptation and consequence are quite similar. When we fall for temptation, we recieve a consequence. That consequence, is something God will provide a way out for.

Sometimes you don’t know what’s going to happen. Sometimes you don’t know why God is putting you through ‘crap like this’. Yes, I agree it’s hard on the inside. I try my best to just glue on a smile and laugh to cover it up, but really, the best thing is to cry to God and let it out. Let it out, and start fresh with yourselves and God, because that’s what matters. Your relationship with God.

And just know, God will do anything and everything for your better. Because guess what? You have a purpose to fulfill in this world. 🙂

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” -Romans 8:28

Jesus loves you. If only we could love like him.

Every Little Thing Makes A Difference

Standard

Ever wonder how things change so fast? I definitely do.

I was looking through about the past three months, October through now, and WOW. It’s ridiculous what has changed. It was like a chain reaction. After one thing happened, another event occurred for the better! Multiple events occurred like this, and it’s ridiculous how much I can change as a person because of these events.

I guess it’s this that made me realize that God does know what’s best for me. After noticing all the good things that have come out of the bad happenings in my life, I’ve realized that God does EVERYTHING, every LITTLE, teeny thing for a BIG reason. And sometimes, God does ONE big thing to make SEVERAL little benefits and good things happen.

When one of my closest friends and I got into a fight, my other friend and I started bonding. And in the outcome, we were ALL good friends. Even though I had to go through the pain of the fight, in the end, everything was definitely for the better.

And that’s what helped me realize. God knows what’s he’s doing. Whatever choice I make, he’ll make the outcome perfect.

“The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” -Psalm 121:7-8

I’ve also noticed how most of my posts have been about how God is like watching over you and has a plan for you and stuff. Haha, I guess that’s what God has been wanting me to focus on. And to be honest, it helps. A lot.

I’ve realized that if I have questions about what God’s doing, I just need to ask.

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” -Jeremiah 33:3

He might not tell me right away. But, he will help me realize at the right time, because it’s his plan. 🙂

Hahaha, I love God.

Love

Standard

Okay, to be honest, I don’t know where this is headed, but we’ll see…

True love comes for a price. You have to fight for it, but in the end it’ll be worth it.

When you see real love, you’ll know it. If you see a perfect love story, it’s all in God’s hands, God’s plans. And guess what? His plans are perfect.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” -1 Corinthians 13:4-8

That is love. That is the very definition of love. If someone truly loves you, it’s not for ‘what you can do’, it’s for who you are, and they look beyond the flaws. The see the beautiful you for who you are!

God is like that. God loves us. And when God says he loves us, he means it. He loves us unconditionally, he died on the cross for us! He forgave our every sin and still loves us for who we are! We’ve made several mistakes along the way, but God is still willing to accept us to be who we are. Now that’s a true love story right there! (:

But here’s the other thing, we gotta show God we love him too. By serving him, following him, trusting him, having a relationship with him, and loving others to love him! By loving God, God will help us love others and himself, and spread even more love!

There’s a song called “Lead Me”, By Sanctus Real. To me, it expresses pure love. Or at least the willingness and want to be able to share and express the love. And in the song, it also explains how we need God’s help in order to do that. We need love in our lives to spread love, and the only way to spread love, is by having God in our lives because God is the true meaning of love.

Yes, that’s it; God is Love.

(I hope this got somewhere…ahah(: )

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” -1 Corinthians 13:13

Paying Attention

Standard

Lately, God’s shown to me how to trust him, and just let him guide the path. And I’ll tell you, it feels great! It makes you feel like everything is going to be alright because it’s God’s plan, not ours. He knows what he’s doing, and we don’t need to worry about it! But here’s the thing, we do need to pay attention to what he’s doing in our lives so we can learn.

And that’s the part I’m having trouble with. Paying attention. I trust God, and I feel like I’m letting him lead my life, but I also feel like I’m not paying much attention to my life. I’m not paying as much to God as I should be. I’ve been rushing my time with God, wasting my time for other useless things, and I’m not spending enough time with the things that matter to me.

Why? I don’t know. This might be the way I learn to start paying attention, by realizing it! But here’s one thing I do know: I need keep my head looking up, looking up to God! …Not looking down on the road while God leads me. I need to know what exactly he’s doing. Be careful how you interpret that though. I don’t mean I need to know what God is planning for me in the future. What I mean is I need to be able to understand what I’m learning, or what God is trying to teach me through what He’s given me or putting me through. …If that makes any sense, haha.

I think something that will help me is just recognizing that God is THE God, the one and ONLY God.

“Be still and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10a

By doing this, I’m praying that God will help me pay attention to him. Him and only what he wants me to pay attention to.

I really believe that everything happens for a reason — God’s reason, and that God’s guiding me down his path. But I also believe that I haven’t been giving enough attention to what needs attention.

I feel like talking to God, so I’m gonna. ( :

I LOVE GOD! : ) ) )

A Friend From God

Standard

I believe God puts every person you meet in your life for a reason. Why? I don’t know, but God does.

It took me a while to realize this, but I’ve been taking a lot of the most important people God gave me in my life, like my family, for granted. It wasn’t til the problem became overwhelming, when I realized I really did have to start changing my actions.

I turned to one of my best friends for advice. And everything she said ACTUALLY MADE SENSE! I believe God gave me my best friend for reason. A reason that’s even bigger than I can possibly imagine! And I’m SO very thankful for her.

“A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” – Proverbs 18:24

God gave her to me so I could become the person He wanted me to be!She helped me understand how to fix my relationships with my family and my other closest ones. She helped me realize what I was doing wrong!

With the advice my friend gave me, I’m slowing trying to change, and I really can feel it! After my friend gave me the advice, I couldn’t stop smiling. I could feel God in me! I just knew everything was going to be alright with time with God. And whatever happens, it’s God’s plan!

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” – Proverbs 16:9

God knows what’s going to happen. He’s given everyone in your life to you for a reason. Whether it’s for temptation, love, good influence, or even just an acquaintance, it’s for a reason. All we can do it trust God!

I also found that in times of trouble, it’s easy to just vent to God! It’s a great feeling after you have. I usually feel like all my troubles are gone. Free!

I LOVE GOD! And I can really feel him working in my life right now. I just hope I can be a better person so I can fulfill what He wants me to do in my life, and do what’s right in his eyes.

I heard this somewhere: “Isn’t it amazing how we serve a God we can’t exagerate?” Yes, it truly is. : )
