“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6-8 NIV)
Have you ever realized how great God is? How much he’s done for us? How he came down to earth to be able to sympathize with us? To be able to understand what we’re going through? He didn’t have to. He’s an almighty creator…and we’re organisms he’s created. It was through his humility that he came down to earth, died on the cross for us, and still allow us to openly talk to him…directly. In fact, it is an honor to be able to talk to him. Prayer.
So much of the time I know I’m so lazy to pray, to spend time with God. I’m “too tired” or have to “finish my homework”. My point is… The fact that we can talk to God himself is humbling. The fact that we don’t need to set an appointment, when or where and the fact that he’ll always be there, is something we can’t take for granted. It should be humbling. He IS humbling. Prayer is valuable, and we can’t forget that. Prayer is an honor. Talking to God is an honor. 🙂
