Perspective to Problems

Standard

So God has definitely taught me a lot in the last few months I haven’t blogged hahah, these are the two I’d like to share. 🙂

Put every problem in perspective –

I know so many times, girls especially, will sit and analyze every little detail at each minute and then find one mistake that shouldn’t have ideally occurred, and then blow up the situation. The best part is when the person reflects back upon the entire situation and realizes… how immature and unneccesssary the problem was. WHY? When someone looks at the bigger picture – there really aren’t any problems. Overanalyzing each detail doesn’t make a situation any better, it only makes it worse. Don’t look at the negatives, look at the positives.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
-Romans 12:21

Another way I interpret this verse is, “Don’t be overcome by negatives, but overcome negatives with postives.” It’s a different twist to the verse, but I think it works. 🙂

Don’t waste time trying to control a situation you can’t control –

I know I for one am a control freak when I feel like a situation isn’t ideal, or my relationship with someone is distancing. I can try my hardest to control each detail, but where is that going to get me? Critically thinking out each detail is pointless, because in the end God is going to lay the best path down for me, no matter what the situation is. Wasting time controlling, or worrying, is just wasting hours, or even days, of your life when you could be praising God and counting the many blessings he’s given you. 🙂

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him.” -1 John 4:16
